​In order to become a member of the Starline School of Dance competition team dancers between the ages of 8-18 must attend our summer evaluation. Dancers invited to the team are then placed onto one of our four team levels and into the appropriate dances: large groups, small groups, solo, duets/trios, and our team production number.  Decisions for placement are based on age range, performance level and technical skill.

Competitive dance is a big commitment and there are specific class requirements and mandatory hours in the studio to be part of the team!

Our team has won numerous awards at regional competitions throughout New England. We travel to up to five regional competitions a year and close out the season by attending one national competition. We are very proud to have been recognized for our technique, entertaining performances, studio sportsmanship and innovative choreography!

The performance opportunities for our team dancers do not stop at the competition stage. Our team has danced down the streets of Disney, the historic stages of Nashville's historic Grand Ole Opry and Broadway's New Amsterdam Theater, Times Square NY, onboard a cruise ship, the Celtics halftime show as well as numerous local performance events and fundraisers! We're always looking to give our team the chance to share their talents!
